Had a great time staying at this hostel during Christmas! the location was also perfect, with just a short walk to the famous shopping street and the lively nightlife. Another advantage was the cozy and comfortable beds, which made my stay even better.
I was disappointed that there was no elevator in the hostel. Having to carry my heavy luggage up the stairs was quite inconvenient.

I recently stayed at Funtoco Backpackers in Osaka for 6 days with a group of 5 people. The hostel is located in a quiet neighborhood but still easily accessible to eateries, sights, and shopping. The hosts were friendly and helpful, offering tips on sights and food. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The lounge and kitchen facilities were also sufficient. it was a pleasant stay.
I do recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Funtoco Backpackers Namba. The location was perfect, with easy access to train stations and downtown eateries. The hostel itself was well-fitted out and clean. The dorms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We really appreciated the fully furnished kitchen and dining area, as well as the included breakfast. Despite the hostel being geared towards quieter travelers, we still had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. I would definitely recommend this hostel for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

I recently stayed at Funtoco Backpackers in Osaka for a week while exploring the city. The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk to the metro station. The hostel was spotlessly clean, from the dorm room to the bathroom. The staff, especially Yuki and Mike, were extremely friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable for a solo traveler on a budget. The common area was a great place to meet new people. Breakfast was included and provided a good start to the day.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at a great hostel called Funtoco Backpackers Namba. The female dorm room was clean and nice, with storage units under the beds and curtains for privacy. The showers and bathrooms were also very clean. The hosts, Yuki and Show, were welcoming and helpful. The location was convenient, with nearby train stations and attractions like Shinsekai and Dotonbori. The common room on the second floor was a great place to relax and socialize with other travelers. The breakfast of toast and jam was simple but good.
For us, it was ideal. 👍

The staff was friendly and helpful, providing reassurance and answering our questions during the Osaka earthquake. The free breakfast, although simple with just toasts and tea/coffee, was a nice touch.
The room we booked had a strong smell and the bedding was also scented heavily with soap. the lack of showers on the third floor was inconvenient, forcing us to go up and down steep stairs to use the renovated bathrooms on the first floor.

The staff at this hostel were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The dorm room had comfortable beds with curtains for privacy, and the locker storage was spacious enough for our belongings. the location was perfect, being close to the main street with plenty of dining and shopping options, as well as being conveniently situated near subway stops for easy transportation.
While the communal showers were understandable for the price, it would have been nice if they were slightly nicer and more aesthetically pleasing. the space in the 6-bed dormitory was a bit tight, especially when trying to maneuver around with our luggage.

This budget-friendly hostel is conveniently located, with easy access to several train stations and a short walk to the bustling city center. the rooms are clean and cozy, equipped with comfortable beds and ample storage space. the communal showers are of good quality and always clean. the friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere and are always ready to assist guests with any queries. the hostel also offers a variety of facilities, such as a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious common area where guests can socialize and relax.
The hostel's location may not be ideal for travelers with heavy luggage or who prefer to stay close to larger train stations.
